Swedish Associtation of Local Governments and Regions - SALAR is a member and employer organisation. All of Sweden's municipalities and regions are members.
SALAR's mission is to support and contribute to the development of the activities of municipalities and regions. It acts as a network for knowledge exchange and coordination. Its role includes providing service and professional advice to civil servants and elected representatives in municipalities and regions on all the issues that municipalities and regions are active in. SALAR also offers courses and conferences on many subjects.
Sweden's largest employers' organisation
SALAR is the employers' organisation for all municipalities and regions. Together, they are the employers of more than a million people. SALAR is tasked with signing central collective agreements on salaries and general terms of employment.
